Tree Commission

The Tree Commission consists of seven members all appointed by the Mayor and administered by the director of public works. 

The purpose of the tree commission is to design and implement the village tree program. The commission will mobilize community resources and encourage the participation of residents in the village tree program. They will also be responsible for conducting community-wide educational efforts to publicize the benefits of trees. The commission shall also be responsible for organizing, conducting and preparing a tree inventory for planning annual Arbor Day events and to provide for the Tree City U.S.A. yearly application
